We, Maria Theresa, by the grace of God Holy Roman Empress,
Queen of Hungary, Bohemia, Moravia, Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Rama, Serbia, Galicia, Lodomeria, Carinthia… cast this proclamation to anyone, whom it might concern…so that the renowned Petrovaradinski Šanac, which lies on the other side of the Danube in the Bačka province on the Sajlovo land, by the might of our divine royal power and prestige…make this town a Free Royal City and to fortify, accept and acknowledge it as one of the free royal cities of our Kingdom of Hungary and other territories, by abolishing its previous name of Petrovaradinski Šanac, renaming it Neoplantae (Latin), Új-Vidégh (Hungarian), Neusatz (German) and Novi Sad (Serbian).

Happy 264th birthday, Novi Sad!
1895. eclectic style building with renaissance-baroque decoration and one of my favourites in Novi Sad.
Yet another Brašovan’s masterpiece in Novi Sad. Genial man he was. Executive council for Autonomous province of Vojvodina.
On my way back from Mitrovica, nothing was really interesting except for the Ruma city center, which again was nothing special and this decaying Roman catholic church in Putinci. The contrast between this playground wall and the scary sight of the old building really gave me creeps.
The Church of St. Nicholas // Crkva Svetog Oca Nikolaja

A facade of Sremska Mitrovica
In Sremska Mitrovica, facades are falling apart in a similar manner like the ones in Budapest. Similarly, they are as pretty too.
Interior of one amazing building of Novi Sad university, Philosophy faculty
Bulit in brutalist architectural style in the communist times of Serbia, this is the first time I actually see the brutalist interior and I like it even more then I like this style in exterior. Corridors are all wide and it feels really spacious and big. It’s also very well lit, as you can see.
